Heartbreaking Plea: Simone Biles’ Birth Mother Begs for Forgiveness!

Shanon Biles, Simone Biles’ birth mother, is speaking out after Simone returned home with four medals from the 2024 Paris Olympics.

In an interview with the *DailyMail*, the 52-year-old shared her hope that Simone will eventually reach out so she can ask for forgiveness.

“I want to make things right with Simone personally – I’m just waiting for her and her younger sister Adria. I talk to Adria more than Simone. I would ask Simone to forgive me and not judge me based on my past. Can we move forward?” she said.

When Simone was a young girl, her birth mother, Shanon, struggled with drugs and alcohol, which led to her four children being placed in foster care.

“I don’t remember much about foster care, but I knew we had been taken from our biological mom, and I thought we would go back to her,” Simone shared on the Facebook Watch series *Simone vs. Herself*.

Shanon’s father, Ronald, and his wife, Nellie, stepped in and adopted Simone and her sister Adria. Simone’s other two siblings were adopted by Ronald’s sister.

For six years after Simone and Adria were adopted, Shanon wasn’t allowed to have any contact with them.

“When we signed the adoption papers, it was like my dad completely shut me out – no communication, no calls, no visits,” Shanon told the *Daily Mail*. “…I was still using drugs, and he didn’t want me coming in and out of their lives when I wasn’t in a good place.”

Shanon admitted she was “hard-headed” and didn’t understand it at the time. But years later, she realized that she needed to work on herself first before she could even think about having a relationship with her children.

Today, Shanon is working on her recovery from addiction and admits that she will always consider herself an addict.

“I’m not the person I used to be. I’m okay now. I’m a loving person and would give you the shirt off my back. I’m very different from how people used to see me,” she said.

Even though Shanon has changed, her relationship with Simone hasn’t improved.

“I only hear about Simone through my dad. I talk to him regularly and we’re on good terms now. I even called him to wish him a happy birthday recently.”

Shanon has Simone’s phone number but won’t call her. She wants Simone to reach out whenever she’s ready.

“I can’t keep thinking about it. Whenever she’s ready, I’m here and open to talking,” Shanon said. “I want her to contact me. She’s 27 now and married. I would have liked to be part of her life, but I just have to wait. You can’t force anyone.”

“It hasn’t happened yet, but I’m patient. I’m waiting for her.”

Shanon added, “I’d like to sit down with you and answer any questions you have. I don’t know what you’ve been told, but I want you to hear the truth.”
